There I learn about baladi, the more I appreciate it. When I started belly dancing, I got bored watching baladi. Drum solos were cool! But I didn't get the baladi (or raqs sharqi). It just goes to show that education and exposure can make you see things in such a different way.
I love Aida's costume in this dance. It looks so elegant on her.
