Comedic Belly Dance

We often take ourselves too seriously and some seriousness is a good thing. It motivates us to train hard, learn and improve. However, it's also important to have a laugh. Almost every class and rehearsal we have at Zahra's results in some "in house" joke or raucous laughter. I know we aren't alone in this. I've been backstage with a lot of other dancers. It's fun. It's light-hearted. It builds community and friendships. It's who we are.
Some dancers transfer their humour into their choreographies and create comedic dances. Here is one of those dances by Abigail Klain.
