The second Theatrical Oriental Dance Festival will take place from 7 - 9 October in Cape Town, South Africa.
With the announcement that the much love International Oriental Dance Festival would not be happening this year, Beverli Al-Masrah stepped up and arranged for a festival for theatrical performances.
There will be a gala event on Friday 7 October and fringe festival performances for the rest of the weekend (8 - 9 October)
International dancer Maya Gaorry will be attending the festival, performing and giving workshops during the weekend festival.
South African dancers who will also be giving workshops are Akasha, Beverli, Elisabeth, Jamilah, Mandy L, Marissa, Michelle, Natalie Clark, Nix, Sandra, Senta, Simone S and Thelma Rose.
All the performances & workshops will be held in and around Sea Point High School.
The proceeds will be donated to assist scholars from the townships with tuition money to study.
