Ayana, Desert Jewels Belly Dance Company, will be hosting Sandra Danse, Académie de Danse Orientale Sandra, from 30 September till 3 October. Sandra will be presenting her Level 1 Sandra Method (an improvisational approach to oriental dancing based on the knowledge and understanding of oriental music) in Johannesburg as well as workshops tailored to this method.
She will also be attending the Theatrical Oriental Dance Festival in Cape Townfrom 7 – 9 October.
Sandra Kahloun is from Nice, France, where she is the owner and principle dancer of the Académie de Danse Orientale Sandra, and is a member of Conseil International de la Danse. She has been teaching at the Academy for over 25 years and developed a unique teaching method which has become world renowned. This structured program’s success is thanks to a long term association with Ibrahim Akef (a most notable teacher and master choreographer).
