I'm all for children learning to belly dance, but I do worry about costuming, style of dance and performing when it comes to young dancers.
Personally. I feel that young dancers should be more covered than adult dancers and dance more traditional dances, staying away from saucy. As to performances, I believe studio showcases should be sufficient for such a young age. No professional gigs. I know others have a different opinion.
There are 3 videos. Each girl seems to be a different age but all under 13. There's no doubt to me that they all have talent and all but one seems to enjoy herself. While I like the skirts and the use of sparkling legging under the one with a high slit, I'm not fond of the tops. The 5 year old in the last video is too young for her costume even though the top is cute. I would rather put that style on an 8 years old. I feel the other 2 girls' bras are too old for them. (Again this is all my opinion).
