Hello everyone. This is the inaugural post of This Belly Dance Life.

My Vision

This will be a place where all belly dancers can come to read articles and blog posts, find events and reviews, and to admire videos and photos of fellow belly dancers.
It is my vision to eventually build an international community.

Who am I?

I'm the co-owner of Zahra's Oriental Dance Studio in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
My dance style is fusion based on Egyptian. I also enjoy gypsy and tribal fusion.
I believe that belly dance is more than just the dance itself. It is a medium for community, friendship, healing, feminism, and charity.
