Exactly 2 weeks from when we left for Purple Belly Bus, we are leaving for the Theatrical Oriental Dance Festival. Can you believe it!
We're leaving Port Elizabeth at 6am (that's on the freeway at 6am, not leaving my house to start picking people up at 6am ~ studio joke). I'm expecting it to take around 10 hours to get to Cape Town including stops along the way.
We are arriving a day early so we can have a day's rest before the festival starts ... except we won't be resting. We plan on visiting Habiba (a must for every belly dancer visiting Cape Town), stopping in at Storm in a G Cup (a must for any well endowed lady) and then seeing where the wind takes us.
Once the festival starts we will be super busy with workshops and performing.
Zahra's Oriental Dance Studio will be dancing at the fringe show on Saturday from 14:15 till 16:00. We basically have 10 mins to do a quick change for every piece. Mel, Termare and myself will also be dancing, with the Purple Belly Bus delegates, one of the choreographies we learnt (just 12 days ago).
As I mentioned a few weeks back, I'll be dancing without my body suit on to share my post twins, post c-section body and hopefully encourage others to do the same (this is also a big step in my own body acceptance).
If you see me, come say hi. Let's take a selfie and I'll do a who I met at TODF post. Tell me what you'd like to see in my blog, how I can change it to be better. I'll be in workshops Saturday morning and all of Sunday. I will be hanging around Sea Point on Friday afternoon, at Mesopotamia of Friday night, and the gala on Saturday.
See you there!
