I love zills. I think you all probably know that by now. I actually carry them around in my handbag all the time. Crazy, I know. I'm glad I do though, otherwise I'd never have had them for my impromptu will jam with Maya Gaorry last month. You never know when you might need them!

Jamila is dancing a baladi with zills. It's hard to hear them in the video though. Zills are notoriously difficult to catch on audio. I heard (not sure if it's true) that it has something to do with the pitch and tone of zills. So I'm rather going to talk about her dancing and costume.
I think she gets a beautiful contrast between her soft and hard movements, and a good percentage mix of the two. I do wish in 1 or 2 places her hip drops would have been a bit smaller but still as sharp.
Other than the bow on the bum, I love this skirt. It's so elegant and flows beautifully.
